Welcome to M & G's Dance page!

The Dance department of M & G comes up with different ways for our children to have fun and enjoy dancing while working up a sweat at the same time! We rehearse and practice long amounts of times to dance steps for a specific song. We try to expose our students to different music genres as well. We dance to:

Hip Hop/Rap
Jazz
Pop
Salsa
R & B
Country
Classical
Funk

Also, every other month, we select a singer/band and we study him/her/them for a whole month. By the end of the month, we plan a very special event that ties back to what we have been doing the whole month.

This months honoree is the late "King of Pop" Michael Jackson! This month we want to try to learn some of Jackson's greatest dance steps from some of his legendary music videos and concerts.

To make things more interesting, at the end of the month we will have a Michael Jackson the Experience video game tournament! We will have a tournament for girls only, boys only, doubles, and age group. This isn't mandatory, however it is highly recommended! There's a catch, though. Entry fee is $1 per participant!

Winners from each tournament will receive $10 each! If you've never played this game, you might want to student some of these videos below...
